Rock Climbing Camp 2025: Camp Registration: SOAR Rock Camp!
What is Rock Camp? Rock Camp is a session of SOAR Summer Camp that focuses specifically on rock climbing technique and technical skills. This camp is open to rising 6th, 7th, and 8th graders in the Cherry Creek School District. Alongside experienced adult staff and high school rock climbing leaders, participants will learn how to tie knots, belay, and be coached through various rock climbing skills. No experience is necessary and all levels are welcome! This year, we are super excited to offer an opportunity for participants to climb on REAL rock in addition to a trip to Movement climbing gym! Our last day of camp will be spent off-campus at a nearby climbing site and will go until 3 pm. The Creek Adventure Program will provide transportation to and from the sites for both off-campus trips.
Rock Camp Dates and Times: June 16th-20th
Camp Schedule: Monday (6/16) – 9:00-12:00 am Tuesday (6/17) – 9:00-12:00 am Wednesday (6.18) – 9:00-12:00 am *off-campus day* Thursday (6/19) – 9:00-12:00 am(Campers will travel to Movement centennial for a day of bouldering) *off-campus day* Friday (6/20) – 9:00-4:00 pm(Campers will travel to Castlewood Canyon State Park. Please note that this day is longer than the rest and will require each participant to bring a lunch)

CCHS Adventure is excited to offer a FULL-DAY camp experience this summer! The Adventure Camp will spend half of the day exploring rock climbing and ropes course experiences and the other half in the CCHS pool practicing paddle sports and playing water games. Adventure Camp is perfect for students interested in learning about and experiencing a wider variety of adventure skills. This camp is open to rising 6th, 7th, and 8th graders in the Cherry Creek School District.
***Students must know how to swim in order to participate in this camp. The swim test will consist of swimming 50 m (down and back the length of the pool) and a 3 min tread or float (maintaining airway above water). Anyone who cannot pass the swim test may still participate with use of a personal flotation device***
