“Challenge Course for Educators"
Graduate Level Class
“Challenge Course for Educators” is a graduate level class (ED 589) offered through Adams State College. Three (3) semester hours of graduate credit are offered by completing all requirements.
Course Description:
This course will allow the participant to experience the benefits of exploring different learning/teaching styles, experiential education theories/models and multiple applications of experiential activities to a variety of educational settings. We will use learning tools such as climbing walls, low and high element ropes course activities, trust activities, team building strategies, and non-competitive games. Participants will be asked to expand their limits both physically and emotionally, using the concept of “Challenge by Choice”. Teachers, counselors, activity advisors, coaches, group leaders, peer counselor sponsors, student council sponsors and special education teachers are encouraged to sign up for this class.

The cost is $300.00. This fee covers instruction, challenge course notebook, insurance and equipment use. (If you wish to receive Adams State College (ASC) credit, the fee is an additional $165.00 for 3.0 credits)

($75.00 non-refundable processing fee)
