Cherry Creek Mountain Bike Team​

Welcome to the Cherry Creek Mountain Biking program!
This team is open to students attending any High School in the Cherry Creek School District. Cherry Creek MTB operates as part of the Creek Outdoor Leadership Training Club and is based at Cherry Creek HS. 

2024 marks the 10th season of Cherry Creek mountain biking in conjunction with the Colorado High School Cycling League. The Cherry Creek Mountain Biking team is a cross-country mountain bike race development program. Riders are welcome to attend any or all team rides. Students may also choose to participate in any or all of the Colorado High School Cycling League race events (fall 2024). General Info!

  • Interested Riders can check out the team and join one Team Ride. (registration required after one interest ride)
  • All Riders must complete the 2024 Cherry Creek Team registration form
  • All Riders must be Registered with the Colorado High School Cycling League
    • ​2024 Team Pass Code: Cherry_Creek
  • Team Rides are scheduled throughout the season. Riders are encouraged to train with the team and ride for skills & fitness 2-3 rides per week. (Coaching porvided at all team rides) 
    • Ride locations include: Village Greens park, Hidden Mesa, Schweiger Ranch, Waterton Canyon, Lair O'the Bear, Staunton State Park

Team Fees:

  • Cherry Creek Team fees are intended to support the Cherry Creek Composite Mountain Biking Team's operations.  These funds directly support our riders by providing financial support for team equipment,  First Aid training and supplies, Pit Zone snacks, coach trainings and general supplies and expenses.  The Cherry Creek Team Fee does not register your rider with the Colorado Mountain Bike League.  All riders must be registered with the Colorado Mountain Biking League which is separate from this fee.


  • Cherry Creek Team Fee: $250 per season
  • Colorado High School Cycling League fees:
    • Colorado League Fee: $170
    • Colorado League Race Events $70 per race

What do you need?

  • Mountain Bike - Riders provide and maintain their own mountain bike. Front suspension suggested, full suspension is optional. Must be a mountain bike, no stree crusiers or gravel bike permitted.
  • Helmet- All riders must wear a helmet at all times when on a bike.
  • Water - All riders must carry a water (water bottles & hydration packs are acceptable)
  • Air! - All riders must be able to fill a tire while on trail. Small bike pump or Co2 cartridges are acceptable.
  • Tire Levers - All riders must carry tire levers to fix a flat tire. 
  • Extra Tube- All riders are encouraged to carry an extra tube incase of a flat (even if you ride tubeless).
