SOAR Club Sponsors

Cindy Wittebort

Picture
Witt is one of the original creators of CAP.  For 25 years, she co-created much of the curricular classes now offered as well as structuring both the COLT and SOAR clubs. She holds a BS in Exercise and Sports Science from CSU and a Master's in Educational Administration from CSU.  Currently, she is traveling the world enjoying retirement.  When we can wrangle her back to take advantage of her wisdom and experience, she becomes the Course Director for many special interest groups on the Challenge Course.  She also coordinators our student presenters at the National Challenge Course Symposium (NCCPS) Conference held in Boulder each February.

Leo Schettler

Leo comes to Creek from a long career in the Cherry Creek School District.  He has taught at all levels of public education and,  before officially retiring, Leo was the Principal of the Cottage, the alternative high school directly connected to Cherry Creek High School.  Kindly known as the master of soft skills and teaching people how to be human beings, Leo works with special interest groups on the challenge course and coordinates our student presenters at the NCCPS conference.

"Riggsy"

Picture
"Riggsy" aka Devin is a CCHS and CAP/SOAR alumni from 2008. She graduated from Northern Arizona University in December of 2011 with a BS in secondary English education. She spends her summers in Estes Park working with middle school and high school age kids, leading them through community building activities as well as outdoor experiences like hiking and backpacking. The majority of her experience is in challenge course facilitation as she worked at the NAU Challenge Course for almost four years. She's very excited to be back in Colorado and getting the opportunity to give back to a program that has done so much to better her life.
